Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at 28, Matt has spent his adult life navigating medication decisions, treatment burden, care coordination, side effects, cost, and the everyday friction that rarely shows up cleanly in a claims file. His talks are equal parts funny, disarming, and deeply human — helping healthcare leaders see what claims data can miss: the cost, complexity, confusion, and burden patients carry while trying to get better. Matt is the author of The Dog Story, an MS Focus contributor, and has been featured in WebMD, U.S. News & World Report, The Boston Globe, and KTAR.

He went on to develop pharmacy strategy for health plan startup Minuteman Health and to consult with clients at Deloitte and Lockton Companies. As SVP and Northeast Pharmacy Practice Leader at Lockton, he grew pharmacy revenue 5-fold in five years while overseeing consulting and advisory services for 250+ employer and payer clients. At RazorMetrics, Ryan drives pharmacy cost containment and process efficiency — identifying inefficiencies from the prescriber’s script to pharmacy pickup, and empowering providers with the information that leads to smarter, more cost-effective healthcare decisions.
