About RazorMetrics

RazorMetrics is at the forefront of transforming healthcare through technology. Our SaaS solutions are designed to save money on pharmaceuticals, enhance patient care, and provide actionable insights through data. We’re on a mission to innovate healthcare practices with our cutting-edge technology and are looking for a Product Manager to join our dynamic team.

The role

We are seeking a hands on Product Manager to own technical data products supporting healthcare data ingestion, normalization, validation, integration, and AI-enabled capabilities.

This position requires someone who combines healthcare and PBM domain knowledge with strong technical problem-solving, product discovery, independent decision-making, and a proven ability to deliver features into production.

The successful candidate will work closely with Data Engineering, Engineering leadership, architects, and business stakeholders to build scalable, reusable solutions while maintaining delivery momentum.

Key responsibilities

Healthcare Data Operations & Technical Problem-Solving

  • Own product requirements for healthcare data ingestion, transformation, normalization, validation, and downstream processing.
  • Work with pharmacy claims, formulary, eligibility, benefits, prescriber, and related healthcare datasets.
  • Investigate complex data discrepancies and collaborate with Engineering to identify root causes.
  • Trace records through ingestion, transformation, filtering, normalization, and downstream delivery processes.
  • Use SQL and data analysis techniques to validate assumptions, identify anomalies, and establish reconciliation criteria.
  • Define data quality standards, error-handling workflows, exception monitoring, and measurable acceptance criteria.

Platform Architecture & Reusability

  • Partner with Engineering and architects to develop scalable, reusable data platform capabilities.
  • Evaluate whether product changes belong in core platform functionality, reusable configurations, or client-specific implementations.
  • Understand the implications of architectural decisions on scalability, maintenance, operational cost, and future client onboarding.
  • Prioritize enhancements that reduce one-off customizations and improve consistency across customers.
  • Support the evolution of data normalization and processing capabilities.

Product Discovery & Feature Delivery

  • Independently lead product discovery, business justification, requirements development, and roadmap planning.
  • Own features from initial concept through engineering development, validation, production launch, and post-release measurement.
  • Translate technical and business challenges into prioritized epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrate a history of successful product and feature launches.

Release Ownership & Independent Decision Making

  • Establish clear release readiness and go/no-go criteria with Engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Assess technical risks, unresolved defects, dependencies, and business impacts when determining release readiness.
  • Confidently challenge requests to delay releases when supporting evidence or clear risk justification is lacking.
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions while maintaining accountability for decisions and outcomes.
  • Escalate appropriately, when necessary, with clear recommendations and documented trade-offs.
  • Drive timely decisions when stakeholders have competing priorities or disagree.

AI Product Development

  • Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to healthcare data ingestion, classification, normalization, validation, and operational workflows.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data Science to define requirements for AI-enabled product features.
  • Lead discovery, prioritization, testing, and production delivery of AI-related capabilities.
  • Define measurable success criteria covering accuracy, reliability, efficiency, and business value.
  • Understand the relationship between data quality, model performance, and trustworthy product outcomes.

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant Product Management, Technical Product Ownership, or closely related experience, with demonstrated ownership of complex technical products.
  • Strong healthcare data experience, preferably involving PBM, payer, or pharmacy technology.
  • Working understanding of pharmacy claims, formulary, eligibility, benefits, or prescriber data.
  • Practical SQL and data investigation capabilities.
  • Experience working with ETL/ELT pipelines, integrations, transformation logic, and data validation.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently investigate technical problems and articulate resolution approaches.

Preferred qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of pharmacy claims adjudication, prescription pricing, benefit design, and PBM operations.
  • Experience with healthcare data normalization engines, configurable processing platforms, or multiclient SaaS architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, or Snowflake.
  • Experience owning production AI features, intelligent automation, or machine-learning-enabled workflows.
  • Experience working in fast-growing healthcare technology organizations.
